“I am a LoneStar comfort club GOLD member.
The plan includes "Repair Warranty" 2 years.
Outdoor unit capacitor was replaced, though still working, due to "out of compliance capacitance".
This capacitor clearly stated, "5 year unconditional warranty" AND was installed by Lone Star less than 2 years ago.
I was invoiced for a $133 WARRANTY PROCESSING FEE. There is no "*" noted on the protection plan indicating a "FEE" for "WARRANTY" work.
To make matters worse the capacitor was replaced with the "same" manufacturer's capacitor. Might be looking at another failure in less than two years!!!!!
I suspect I'd have been better off not paying the protection plan, capacitor failing and having another service provider fix it.

The only reason for a 2 star vs. 1 star rating is that the tech, Keldon, did excellent service work and confirmed LS comfort services management recommended replacing the still functioning capacitor.”
